Julia Child, one of America's most beloved chefs and television personalities, has died at the age of 91.
"Dining with one's friends and beloved family is certainly one of life's primal and most innocent delights, one that is both soul-satisfying and eternal...In spite of food fads, fitness programs, and health concerns, we must never lose sight of a beautifully conceived meal."
Indeed.
A true American institution, she influenced many of the 'star chefs' seen on the Food Network today. She also influenced millions of American foodies, like me.
She will be missed, but her influence will live on.
