It is award show season, and everyone is abuzz with talk of the Grammy Awards and the upcoming Academy Awards. So I thought why not have the Carnival of the Recipe Awards.
So without further ado, we present this week's nominees.
The nominees for best performance in the role of LIBATION are:

Mix the following ingredients together in the amounts that you choose. Any ingredient that you don’t like or don’t have on hand can be left out and it will still taste good.
Dressing
- Mayonnaise
- Pace hot picante sauce (medium or mild if you can’t take the heat!)
- Cumin
Cabbage, shredded
Carrots, coarsely shredded
Onion, chopped (or green onion, sliced)
Canned red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
Jalapeno peppers, seeded (or not) and minced

Crock Pot Macaroni, Cheese & Bacon
Ingredients
- 8 cups of cooked Macaroni or other pasta
- 4 bacon rashes - rind removed and diced
- ½ onion - minced or very finely chopped
- 2 cups milk
- 1 tin (13 oz/375ml) evaporated milk
- 2 eggs - lightly beaten
- 2oz/60g melted butter
- 2 tbsp vegetable Oil
- 6 cups Cheese - We used 4 of tasty and 2 of Parmesan
- Salt and Pepper
Method
1. Place all ingredients into the crock pot and stir to combine.
2. Cover and cook for 8-9hours on Low and 4-5hours on High.
3. Eat and enjoy
Notes
Serves 6-8 as a meal
Serves heaps as a side dish
