This is the cat that was the subject of this conversation.
When I stepped out on my back porch a while ago, it poked its head out from under the forsythia bush and came running up the yard meowing like crazy.
When it reached me, it rubbed against my legs and rolled over on its back, allowing me to rub its tummy. It was talking to me the entire time.
When I attempted to go back inside, it ran in front of me and tried to get in the door. I finally managed to distract it enough to get through the door without it coming in.
But I had to grab the camera and go back out to take its picture. Then I spent another 10 minutes trying to get back in the house alone.
It is still waiting at the back door, occasionally standing up to look in through the window. I can still hear it meowing.
I swear, I would love to have this cat as a pet, but with plans to leave town in a few days, I just can't do it.
If it is still around when I return next week, maybe I will let it in.

Oh, he luuurves you! Look at his face. He's totally in love with you.

Don't you have a neighbour who could feed him on your porch?

I hate cats but I must admit, this one looks really nice.
It appears it has a collar so it must belong to someone.

Siamese cats are awesome. You're on the right track.. If he's around next week, let him in and give him a treat.

Good gravy man that's a chocolate Tonkinese. I only know this as we pulled one out of the pound back in July. They have a nearly dog-like need to be devoted to people. That's why ours thinks he can sleep on my chest all night. And he doesn't even like me. But he luvvvvvvvvs Mom! Oh yeah Mom know how to scratch ears!

Siamese cats tend to be pretty talkative in general, I hear. All the ones I've known have been anyway...he's purdy.

Gorgeous eyes.
I had the same thing happen to me about five years ago when Maisy "adopted" me. She wouldn't leave the backyard for days, and when no one claimed a lost tortoiseshell, she became a contented member of the family. Good luck!
