I just did something I have never done before.
I got to play Santa Claus for a couple of kids. Ali's kids.
Ali sneaked up the stairs a while ago to make sure the little guys were fast asleep. They were, so I went up to retrieve my suitcase. That is where their presents have been hidden for the past week. They didn't have a clue, although this evening at the dinner table, C was trying to get Ali to reveal where we had them hidden. She did ask if they were in my suitcase.
I unlocked the bag and told Ali to go ahead and arrange everything under the tree. She told me it was okay to help. So I did.
It felt really good. It was a special part of a very special Christmas.
