Despite there being an inch of snow on the ground and it being colder than a gravedigger's ankle, keeping me trapped inside, it turned out to be a pretty good day.
Thanks to Benadryl and melatonin, I got a really good night's sleep. The cat tried to rouse me a few times, but I resisted, and slept until 9 a.m. I spent the morning drinking coffee and reading blogs. I finally showered and dressed at 1 this afternoon.
By then, I had started my first load of laundry, and by the start of the Super Bowl, I had washed, dried, folded and put away 4 loads of laundry. In between, I took some pictures and did some housekeeping of my images that I have stored on Flickr.
Alison and I chatted via IM before she went to bed. I think she wanted to stay up for the entire game (being from Pittsburgh, you know), but she had had a busy day and was tired. She went to bed at half-time.
Speaking of the game, Pittsburgh won (GO STILLERS!!!!). I'm a big Steeler fan. Not just because Ali is from Pittsburgh, either. I've followed them since I was a kid. Back then, the Bengals were already known as the Bungles, and my friends and I needed another team to root for. The Steelers were the next closest team at the time.
That was the era of Terry Bradshaw and Franco Harris (remember the Immaculate Reception?). Good times they were. It's great to see them on top again.
Well, that's what's been going on in my world. It's been quite a day. I'm worn out and I am going to bed.
I'll see you tomorrow. have a great day everybody.

I'm glad you had a better day; our day was LOUSY since our West Coast team lost. Boo hoo. I am already over it though, even kind of expected it.

Congratulations on the Steelers win :)
I've been catching up here. Lovely photos. Tonks is a hoot! And about boredom, it sucks but time will pass before you know it. Hang in there.

Sounds like you had a perfect day for a homebound injured person. I also remember the heydays of the Steelers and I am so happy they won!

I hope you are feeling better Alan..
My Seahawks lost to your Steelers but I must admit I've seen both teams play better. The officiating was not very good but I still believe the Steelers played a better game when all was said and done. I am also happy for Ali, being from Pittsburg. Give (Tonk) a bit kiss on the nose and get well soon.
