It's raining here. Heavy rain. There are flood watches and warnings all over the state. This is the third straight day of steady rain.
It is also unseasonably warm. I was still awake at 3 in the morning, and what did I see fly across my computer screen? A mosquito! It's January, for goodness sake! It's supposed to be winter. All the mosquitoes are supposed to be dead.
The temperature is forecast to drop tomorrow for a few days. More in line with the norm for this time of year. And the rain should end as snow flurries. I hope the forecasters are right.
I guess I shouldn't complain about the rain. The plains states had several days of freezing rain and over 20 people lost their lives due to this storm.
But still, the relentless rain and dreary skies will suck the soul out you after a while.

It's been unseasonably warm here, and virus' that are normally dead are wreaking havoc with the population, and me, causing everything from virus' to pneumonia. Very unpleasant. I'm heading back to bed. See ya.

Yeah, and the whippets hate the rain---they won't go out until they really have to GO. And I ain't been walking all weekend neither.

I used to love it when I was a kid and it rained when I was in the car. I liked how the drops would chase each other.

I am not happy about our colder and snowy conditions. (especially the ice) I would like our rain back, and you can have our snow.

I would love to have weather so warm the mosquitos were out. It was 12 degrees this morning here in St. Louis. Yesterday, midday, it was only 20 degrees. The power lines froze in parts of STL when an ice storm hit a few days ago. Yeah... I would LOVE to have warm weather. Send it my way? :)

We've had only a few peeks of winter weather this year. No snow, no ice.
And we saw a butterfly this weekend. How strange.
Cas
Happy belated birthday. 50 is good.
