Today revolved around taking Mr. Jones to the vet. He began sneezing on Saturday, and yesterday he slept all day, and ignored his food.
I knew he was sick. He just wasn't acting like his usual self. At the vet's office we discovered he had a high fever, an ear infection and an upper respiratory infection.
He got an injection of antibiotics and another injection of kitty Tylenol to reduce his fever, as well as pills and ear drops to bring home.
When we got home, he ran upstairs and hid for a while. He finally came back down and ate some. He also drank a lot of water. He then went to sleep on our bed.
He's now chasing one of his toy mice around the living room.
I think he is on the mend.

I'm glad he's playing. If he still won't eat, get the smelliest food you can find. When Daphne had a cold, we squirted cod liver oil on her kibble to try and get her to eat.
Purrs to Mr. Jones :-)

He looks kind of pensive. I'm glad that he is better; sick animals scare me because they can't tell us what's wrong. (except by their uncharacteristic behavior)

awww! the poor baby. ear infections suck for humans, i can't imagine what it's like for a kitty. tuna is a nice treat for a sick baby.
our cats do this sneezy thing every spring and every winter. it goes from one to the next. usually lasts a week, and then they're good. it is weird. like clockwork it always goes from ferris, to the beeb, to fuzzykitty. right now we're in the beeb stage.

Poor kitty. I hope he makes a full recovery soon.
