So...
Have we reached a consensus on how long we must wait before discussing Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows?
I would think that two weeks would be enough time for the almost 12 million people who have bought the book so far to read it.
Oh, you say you want to read the previous six installments again before reading the last one? You've had two years to do that. What the hell is wrong with you people?
Just pick up the new one and read it already!

NO, I'm not ready Allan. I'm just starting Book 6. I got the bug late, after thinking that it was just a dumb fantasy series. Boy, was I WRONG!!

My goobers turned their computers off and sat down to read the book the day it came out.
I'm not even sure if they paused to use the restroom.
Is it really over?
I'm 3 books behind. :(

I'm ready when you are.
Here's my secret--the weekend it comes out, go on vacation (away from all internet, TV and distractions in general), sit yourself by a lake and just read, read, read. Worked for me three times out of seven. :)

Started it, but i'm a slow reader. I'd love to take a cue from Kathryn -- I actually have a large lake nearby. But it's summer. And hot. And the lake gives off the aroma of dead algae.

Actually - I did exactly that two weeks before the movie - I re read 5 & 6 both - back to back - just to get ready.
And I've read #7 twice and seen #5 twice.
I think I'm ok for awhile.
