So here it is, 2:34 a.m., and I am wide awake.

Ali is the one who has been suffering insomnia lately, but tonight she is in bed, asleep. I usually don't have much trouble sleeping, but tonight I can't.

Today was an emotional day for me. I finally sat down and wrote thank you notes to everyone who sent cards, flowers, or donations to Hospice in Jo Ann's name. I got verklempt more than once during the couple of hours it took me to do it.

I did some other chores I have been putting off for way too long, too. It felt good to get all that stuff done. It felt like I had broken free of the inertia I have been experiencing since Jo Ann died.

I thought I would be exhausted and asleep before The Daily Show came on, but I'm wired.

I guess I will read for a bit. Maybe that will make me sleepy.

I hope everyone has a great Friday. And I hope you like the cat blog Friday photo. That's me reflected in Callie's eye.

Cool photo!

You've all had a very hard time lately. I hope October is much better. :)

she's beautiful

I guess you too are at the point when everything that has happened lately zaps you. Hope it all gets better.

Maybe some Tylenol PM will help. And a massage, etc. Both of you.

A fantastic picture, I simply adore calico cats. Callie is no exception.

That's a dream shot right there. Well executed!
